Endorsement of No Visa Required (NVR):
Who are eligible:

Foreign nationals of Bangladesh origin (except SAARC countries) are eligible for endorsement of “No Visa Required to Travel to Bangladesh” stamp on their foreign passports. Their (foreign born) spouses and children are also eligible for such endorsement.
Endorsement of NVR allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport.

Basic Documents Required for All NVR Seekers:
i. Nigerian/Angolan/Congolese Republic/Gambian/Liberian Passport (Original, having at least 6 months’ validity) on which NVR endorsement is desired;
ii. Photocopy of the information page of the current passport;
iii. Two recent ‘Passport Size’ photographs (No older than 6 months);
In addition, following documents have to be enclosed with the application form:

A: For transferring “No Visa Required” stamp from expired passport to a new passport
Previous passport with a photocopy of the information page as well as of the page having NVR seal;
B. For obtaining the endorsement of NVR for the first time:

a. In case of a Bangladesh origin applicant:
Original Bangladesh Passport (Valid/Expired) along with a photocopy of information page, or
Birth Certificate issued by the competent authorities of Bangladesh carrying 17 digit birth registration number along with a photocopy; or
Dual nationality certificate along with a photocopy; or
Original National ID card along with a photocopy.
b. In case of a child born abroad:
– Original Birth Certificate of the Child with a copy and
– Original Bangladesh passport of the Father/Mother (valid or expired) with a photocopy, Or, original Bangladesh NID with a photocopy.
c. In case of foreign-born spouse of a Bangladesh Citizen
– Original marriage certificate with a copy and
– Original Bangladesh passport (valid or expired) of the spouse with a photocopy, or, original Bangladesh NID with a photocopy.
* Fees: USD 50.00
* All service seekers are requested NOT to deposit fees to the Mission’s Bank Account without approval by Mission’s Consular Section (Telephone : +234-9073-859-213, E-mail : mission.abuja@mofa.gov.bd)
* MODE OF PAYMENT OF CONSULAR FEES: Bank transfer to the following Bank Account of the High Commission:

* Branch : Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, Nigeria.
* NO REFUNDS: Fees, once received, cannot be refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or service cannot be rendered.
* PROCESSING TIME: Once approved/refused, the service seekers would be communicated by email. The High Commission will get in touch with applicants in cases where the applications are incomplete/incorrect, the fees sent are not adequate or not paid in the acceptable manner or where there are other deficiencies.
* Application Submission hour: 0900 hrs- 1145hrs (at the counter)
* Delivery hours: 0900 hrs- 1145hrs (from the counter)

Please note that delivery charge/expense will be borne by the service seeker/ applicant
