History of Bangladesh-Nigeria Relations

Bangladesh and Nigeria established diplomatic relations in the mid 70s. Bilateral relations have been growing steadily since then. Nigeria accorded recognition to Bangladesh on 27 February 1974. The relationship has not assumed economic significance as bilateral trade and
economic engagements are not significant.
